Your financial success isn’t going to change overnight.  You will need to listen to this self-talk recording daily for the next one to two months.  The results of the recording can be accelerated, by listening to it on repeat throughout the night.

I do statements in both the “I” and “You”.  I recommend repeating the “I” statements and allowing the “You” statements to sink into your subconscious mind.  Or you can choose to listen passively throughout the whole process.

I am now updating the self-talk recordings on my Hypnotherapy shop.  The most important recording that anybody should start with is their health, unless that is already perfect.  This will be followed up with a self-talk recording for financial success.

Self talk Mp3 downloads

These self-talk recordings need to be used daily to get maximum effect from them.  If you choose you can repeat quietly overnight.  You can choose to be totally passive throughout listening to the recording or you can repeat the “I” statements after you have heard them.

“I” and “You”

Both “I” and “You” statements are used for maximum effect.  New age music is also played in the background to smooth the flow of these affirmations into your subconscious mind.

The more you listen to these recordings, the greater effect they will have on your subconscious mind.  After a month or two of continuous use, you should find these statements being burnt deep into your subconscious mind.  Your beliefs and behaviours will gradually change.

I am looking at developing a new set of Mp3 downloads, to compliment my Hypnotherapy and self-talk recordings.   These Mp3 downloads are going to combine the concept of Hypnotherapy and self-talk downloads.

These recordings are to be used during the night.


There will be a 20-minute Hypnotherapy session, to put you into a positive state of mind and carry you over into a sleep state.  If you need to wake up in the night, your safety will be paramount.

Sleep programming.

There will then be positive suggestions made in both “I” and “You.  The Positive affirmation statements will repeat on a loop for the night, until it is time to wake up in the morning.


I am currently testing these recordings on myself and will fine tune to get the right combination of background music and self-talk affirmations.   Your subconscious mind is absorbing information while asleep, so why not spend 8 hours programming yourself with the most positive suggestions possible.

Many people say they are short of time to spend listening to self-talk or Hypnotherapy recordings.  There is no excuse not to listen to these sleep programming recordings while asleep at night.  Add to your mobile phone and play quietly in the background.

Sheffield Marathon

I ran the Sheffield Marathon back in 1985,  I hit a very respectable time of 3 hours 10 minutes for 26 miles.  At the time I didn’t know a thing about diet or psychology.   This was only my second Marathon and I did it through sheer willpower.  I wonder what I would have achieved if I had known anything about diet and psychology.  I was only 21 at the time.

N.L.P. and Hypnotherapy

A few years later I went through a very stressful part of my life when working in London and used Hypnotherapy to help me resolve the issue.  I then trained as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming master practitioner (N.L.P).  Which encompassed all the most important fields of psychology.

Over the years I have worked with many individuals on various aspects of their life’s.  I know one customer came to see me about stopping smoking and what they found at the same time their golf game improved.   I have had a customer come specifically to see me about improving their golf handicap.

Pure Hypnotherapy deals with things in a more unconscious way, while pure N.L.P. deals more with things on a conscious level.  I tend to intertwine both techniques.

Physical versus mental exercise

Physical training alone is not the answer to achieving the top in your chosen sport.   It’s been proven that mental training and rehearsing in the mind, can produce even better results than physical training alone.   Olympic diving and basketball are a couple of sports where this has been proven beyond doubt.   You only have to look at the success of Andy Murray, while his coach has been Ivan Lendl.  99.99% of the top sportsmen out there are going to see mental training as important as physical training, whatever their sport.

I would recommend writing the affirmations two ways.   Write as though you have achieved them, but also as though they are gradually coming towards you.   The gradually towards yourself will more easily fool your mind into achieving your goal.  This was a famous affirmation by Emile Coue.  Every day in every way I am getting better and better.

It is also necessary for the affirmations to be said as ‘I’ and ‘You’.  I believe the ‘You’ talks more to the younger you, that is more resistant to change.

Keep the statements positive.  If I say to you “Don’t think about Pink elephants”  what happens.  Rather than “I don’t want to be overweight” say “I am my ideal body weight”.

Choose between 10/20 affirmations.

This is an example of a self-talk script to attain your ideal weight.

  •  Day by day, hour by hour moment by moment, I am attaining my ideal weight more and more.
  •  I eat the right amounts of food to attain my ideal weight.
  •  I eat healthy foods that my body can digest well and will give me all the energy I need.
  •  I exercise daily in a way that I enjoy and helps me to burn off excess amounts of body weight.
  •  I have a trim stomach.
  •  I am feeling more and more confident I can attain my ideal weight.
  •  I am patient with myself
  •  Day by day, hour by hour moment by moment, You are attaining your ideal weight more and more.
  •  You eat the right amounts of food to attain your ideal weight.
  •  You eat healthy foods that your body can digest well and will give you all the energy you need.
  •  You exercise daily in a way that you enjoy and helps you to burn off excess amounts of body weight.
  •  You have a trim stomach.
  •  You are feeling more and more confident you can attain your ideal weight.
  •  You are patient with yourself.

The next step is to set time aside daily to say these affirmations to yourself.  To reprogram your subconscious mind to change your beliefs and behaviours.

I would recommend saying the affirmations 5 minutes 4 times a day.  Say them slowly and confidently.  If you can say them aloud brilliant, the next best thing is saying them quietly in your own mind.   Carry out this action for one to two months, you have probably had issues with this goal for years, so it would be unwise to expect instant results.

You may prefer to start to listen to self-talk Mp3 downloads on your mobile phone, using headphones, especially if you have little time and are travelling to work.   If you prefer to hear somebody else external to yourself saying these affirmations until your own internal self-talk improves.  I have a number of self-talk MP3 downloads you can purchase, I also include positive questions to ask yourself, to guide you towards your goal.
